East London based portraiture artist, Serayah Austrie, has been crafting her skills in portraiture art since 2007. She’s an expressive person and likes for her personality to show through colours and has begun to utilize her love for expression; colours and her interest in getting to know the more vulnerable sides of people. She also uses waves of different emotions to tell stories and this is now at the forefront of her work.
She finds that, even 13 years later, some of her favourite mediums are thick textured oil and acrylic. Even at this stage, Serayah finds it important to introduce various mediums and styles to her study and creative process and feels it comes with being an artist.
